When designer Tommy Smythe and builder Joey Fletcher first saw the home’s great room, they both agreed it wasn’t so great. The dynamic duo set out to change that, and while they faced a few challenges along the way, the end result is a great room that opens up to the kitchen and to the great outdoors in a creative and beautiful way.
Stunning Makeover 1 / 13 Part of the kitchen design envisioned this week by Sarah Richardson involved cutting a large hole in a wall in order to open up the kitchen to the great room, something that Tommy and Joey not only accommodated but actually used to their advantage.
